Staff Highlight

Britney Macnab is excited and privileged to be a part of a team that changes the lives of children all over the Western Slope. She has been teaching 3rd grade for the last 13 years, both in Oregon and in Rifle, Colorado. Britney moved to Rifle about 8 years ago and fell in love with the outdoor playground. She graduated from Western Oregon University and earned her teaching credentials through Western Governors University.

Coming from a long line of farmers, Britney values collective successes as the greatest achievements. She still returns each summer to assist with the harvest but is preparing to pass on the reins to the next generation of nieces and nephews. Her passion has always been to inspire a love of learning in children of all ages, whether in the classroom or through coaching basketball, volleyball, and track. Mentoring young people to become extraordinary individuals has led her to her current role with Access Afterschool, where she contributes to something larger than herself, bringing joy and positively impacting families and communities.
